Her vocal range of four notes and her signature use of whistle registers are highly acclaimed by the both critics and the media. Grande has been awarded numerous awards throughout her career. These include two Grammy Awards. One Brit Award. Two Billboard Music Awards. Three American Music Awards. Nine MTV Video Music Awards. Thirty Guinness World Records.


The musical career of Grande began at her age of 15 when she appeared in the Broadway musical "13". Grande made headlines as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon's television series Victorious (2010 until 2013) and as Sam and Cat(2013 from 2013 to 2014). After watching YouTube videos of Grande singing, Republic Records signed Grande to their label in 2011. The 1950s-influenced doo-wop pop and R&B debut album, [2] Yours Truly (2013) was a top seller on the US Billboard 200, while the lead track, "The Way", made it to the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100. Grande's vocals and whistles on the album drew immediate comparisons to Mariah Carey.


In her third and second studio albums My Everything (2014), and Dangerous Woman (2016), she explored pop and R&B. My Everything tried EDM, and was a huge success with the singles "Problem", Break Free and "Bang Bang" and Dangerous Woman was her first of four consecutive top ten albums released in the UK. Personal struggles led to her trap-infused fourth (2018) and fifth studio album, Sweetener (2018), which were both commercial and critical achievements. Sweetener earned her the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album, and Thank U, Next broke the record for having the most streaming week for a popular album and received nominations for Album of the Year. The singles "Thank U, Next", "7 Rings", and "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" helped make Grande the first solo artist to hold the top three spots on the Hot 100 simultaneously and the first woman to achieve success in the top spot of the UK Singles Chart. Grande's collaborations for 2020 with Justin Bieber ("Stuck with U") and Lady Gaga's "Rain on Me" each earned her the Grammy Award as Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Grande's sixth studio album, Positions (2020), broadened her focus to trap music. Both the album and the track that was its title reached number one in the UK. In 2021, she teamed up with The Weeknd on the remix of "Save Your Tears", earning her sixth US number-one single.
