Charissa Thompson

Thompson quit FOX Sports, and began hosting in Versus Sports as well as Yahoo Sports. Thompson hosted Versus' NHL coverage in the studio and produced web-based content for Yahoo's heavily-shopped platform. Thompson was in charge of the website's presence at major sports events like the 2010 Winter Olympics and FIFA World Cup. Her show was successful on both shows, which led her to join ESPN on August 11, 2011. In that capacity, she hosted the newly created program in the afternoon called "Numbers Never Lie" which was a show on the network. Following a switch from "SportsNation," she enjoyed an extended period of popularity. Thompson left ESPN when FS1 launched in Los Angeles, May 2013 and returned the city of Los Angeles. Thompson is a huge sports fan, but she has demonstrated the versatility necessary for her to transition into the entertainment industry. In June of 2014, following a number of part-time positions Thompson was made a as the permanent host of the Hollywood evening news magazine "Extra".
