Kari Samantha was an American artist, actress and vocalist (born on April 28, 1967). She made her acting debut as a teenager. Her best-known character was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as for playing the character of the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She has three siblings. When she was in her teens, she performed at nightclubs by sneaking from the house. When she began studying acting at Wooster School from 13 years old, she pursued a degree in drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University.
