Anita Saarkessian

Anita Sarkeesian is a Canadian-American feminist media critic as well as a public speaker. She is the founder of Feminist Frequency the site that features videos and comments on the representations of women in popular culture. Anita Sarkeesian is an award-winning Canadian-American feminist media critic and blogger. Feminist Frequency is a not-for profit site for education that investigates the representation of women in pop culture narratives - is created and directed by Sarkeesian. In her efforts to break down stereotypes of women that exist in pop culture, she has also been working on issues related the harassing women targeted by the media and others on the internet. Sarkeesian has a degree in the fields of social thought and political science at York University. She is an extremely well-respected and respected public speaker. Sarkeesian gave speeches to the TEDxWomen Festival as well as to the United Nations Broadband Working Group. Feminist Frequency was launched in the year 2009 by Sarkeesian. an undergraduate student at York University who had been involved in topics related to gender and feminism since a lengthy time.
